The 5th International Conference on Contemporary Issues in Economics, Management and Business (5th CIEMB 2022) will be organized by National Economics University in Hanoi, Vietnam. The aim of the conference is to create a forum for scholars from different academic fields of economics, business and management to exchange and present their research. Prof. Robert Breunig, Australian National University, Australia

Prof. Robert Breunig

Prof. Robert Breunig is the director of the Tax and Transfer Policy Institute at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University. From 2015 to 2016 he was the Director of the Crawford School of Public Policy.

Professor Breunig is one of Australia’s leading Public Policy Economists. He has published in over 50 international academic journals in economics and public policy. Professor Breunig has made significant policy impact through a number of his research projects. Professor Breunig’s research is motivated by important social policy issues and debates. His work is characterized by careful empirical study and appropriate use of statistical technique.

Professor Breunig’s research agenda has led to many partnerships with government organizations in Australia and overseas. He works regularly with the Australian Treasury, the Department of Employment, the Department of Industry, the Department of Communication and the Arts, the Productivity Commission, the Australian Bureau of Statistics as well as many other agencies. He has been a consultant to the private sector on marketing, mergers, bank competition and customer loyalty programs.

Prof. Jonathan Pincus, UNDP Senior International Economist

Prof. Jonathan Pincus

Prof. Jonathan Pincus is the UNDP Senior International Economist. He attended Oberlin College in the United States and holds master and doctoral degrees in economics from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. Professor Pincus has lived and worked in Southeast Asia for three decades, including extended assignments in Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Professor Pincus has held various teaching positions in Europe, the United States, and Asia, has taken on numerous technical assignments with international organizations including the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Bank. Professor Pincus is a renowned development economist specializing in Southeast Asia. His research has focused on issues of agrarian change, poverty, inequality, and labor markets. Professor Pincus has authored numerous books and articles on economic issues in Southeast Asia.


Prof. Alex Vanderstraeten, Ghent University, Belgium

Prof. Alex Vanderstraeten

Prof. Alex Vanderstraeten is the professor at Ghent University, Belgium. He also has teaching experiences in the USA, Russian Federation, North Macedonia and Taiwan.

He published articles in journals such as Personnel Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and others. Together with Professor Robin Kramar (Notre Dame University, Sidney), he recently published the book “Sustainable HRM. From theory to Practice” in 2021.

His main interests are situated in strategic Human Resource Management, and performance based Human Resource Management. He now works on Sustainable Human Resource Management, a new paradigm in Human Resource Management literature and practice.  Apart from his academic career, he actually helps organizations building up a clear sustainable Human Resource Management strategy and policy to pave the way to global sustainability.

Dr hab. Tomasz Bernat

Dr hab. Tomasz Bernat is the Chief Editor of ESCI/Scopus indexed Economics and Sociology, and also the Professor of the University of Szczecin, Poland, the former vice-dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at the University of Szczecin and head of the Department of Microeconomics.

One of his scientific interests is interdisciplinary research dedicated to entrepreneurship, economic and genetic factors in its creation. The last research topic is on the factors of success in making business decisions, both from the economic – managerial and psychological point of view.  He is also the author of over 200 publications.



Assoc.Prof. Juthathip Jongwanich, Chief Editor of Thailand and the World Economy

Assoc.Prof. Juthathip Jongwanich

Juthathip Jongwanich is the Chief Editor of Thailand and the World Economy, and the Associate Professor in the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. She won the best paper award in international economics and international macro economics from National Research Council of Thailand in 2009 and 2019 and from Thammasat University in 2018 as well as award for the highest numbers of publications in ISI and Scopus database with Impact factor (for Social Science), by Thammasat University in 2021. Her research interest is International Economics; Capital Mobility; Multinational Enterprises; International Macroeconomics and International Production Network. She works as an international consultant for various international organizations including World Bank, Asian Development Bank, , Economic Research Institute of ASEAN and East Asia. She published 4 books, 56 papers in leading peer-reviewed journals and 15 book chapters for the past decade.
